sometimes life gives you lemons....

I've been noticeably absent from here and from my regular posting over at NEI...

Its been a rough few days. Since Wednesday. Sigh.

Wednesday afternoon I was laid off at my full time job. Nothing hurts like it. Its like a bad breakup that no one saw coming. Like being punched in the stomach.

So here I am. 5:06 on a Monday afternoon sitting on my couch, the same place I was at 10:06am...

I know I'm lucky I have my part-time to fall back on. And I know that for the last few weeks all anyone has heard to talk about is how much I wanted to find a new full time. But its totally different when its not on your terms. Today was the first day I truly realized that I'm not going back there...that the job I put in hours upon hours in to and was loyal to for almost 3 years doesn't want or need me anymore (told you like it was like a bad breakup.)...

...I was supposed to update my resume today, but it didn't happen, I'll get there.

I guess this is what, for the time being, this blog will be about....my continuing job search...which I know isn't the best reading, but its all that is really relevant in my life these days....

guess I'll just make some lemonade...

A new direction...

You may have noticed that there are no posts here - I am working on a new design/layout and reason for this here blog. Perhaps working on it tonight, but expect it to be more of my everyday life and not so much about my non existant dating adventures:)
